What to Watch
Are you tired of scrolling through Netflix and still can’t find anything to watch? Want to know what movie you should go see next? Do you wish you had a list of shows and movies that will pique your interest?
Look no further! There’s nothing worse than coming home after a long day at work and not being able to find anything good to take your mind off things and relax. In a world of streaming services, it can be difficult to find what you want to watch. This isn’t Rotten Tomatoes, but it is a curated list of TV and Film worth sharing.
TV shows available on streaming:
The Leftovers (2014), From (2022), Midnight Mass (2021)
The Leftovers (2014)
Available on HBO Max. This is one of my favorite shows about the human condition. Let me set the scene: 2% of the world’s population has disappeared without a trace or explanation. Now what?
From (2022)
Available on MGM+. I know what you’re going to say: “Who the hell has MGM+?” But I guarantee that if you want a show that will shock, scare, and confuse you, then this is the show for you.
Midnight Mass (2021)
Available on Netflix. Say what you will, but Netflix knows exactly how to make a limited series. Providing a combination of religion & folklore, it really makes you think about the stories you’ve been told. This show requires patience and attention to grasp the story itself.
Movies available on streaming:
No One Will Save You (2023), The Watchers (2024), 30 Days of Night (2007)
No One Will Save You (2023)
Available on Hulu & Disney+. A movie that has little to no dialogue but speaks for itself. You know how in most movies the main character makes stupid decisions that not a single sane individual would make; this is not one of those movies at all.
The Watchers (2024)
Available on HBO Max. This movie gives you a brand-new creature to fear. Leaning heavily into folklore but also making you wonder what’s really hiding in the woods.
30 Days of Night (2007)
Available on Paramount+ and Tubi. This movie is a classic. It offers a new way to imagine vampires that doesn’t romanticize them but makes you genuinely fear them. It tells a story with an emphasis on family and survival, making you wonder what you would do in that situation.
Coming to Theaters:
Predator: Badlands (2025)
Predator: Badlands (Coming out Friday, November 7, 2025)
I have always been a fan of the Alien vs. Predator franchise, but the new direction the series has taken has me even more excited about this movie. Providing additional lore into the culture of the Predators, reminding me of how Prometheus & Alien: Earth gave meaning to the Xenomorphs.
TV and Film can take you to new places that can only be imagined. This is a list of TV shows worth binging, movies worth watching multiple times, and movies you can’t wait to see. Leave a comment if you have watched or will watch any of these works of art, and don’t forget to share!
